We’ve designed FUSION ZERO TO HERO from the ground up for content creators who use DaVinci Resolve. So if you’re familiar with the edit page of Resolve, you’ve been using it for a while, or even if you know NOTHING about compositing, graphic design, or any other app, this course is PERFECT for you.

Of course if you have a little experience in other compositing, design, or photo editing apps, that’ll give you a leg up. We’ll still dive into the basics, as it’s never too late to build a solid foundation.

Fusion: Zero to Hero is the essential course for building a firm FOUNDATION of compositing concepts.

This course is designed not just as a way to learn Fusion, but as a way to learn a MINDSET. This is something that usually takes YEARS to learn, and most courses don’t go into the details of how to think like a compositor. We’re packing years of experience into an organized curriculum to turbo charge your learning.

Our other Fusion course, Pro Compositing and VFX in Fusion is perfect for learning hollywood-level VFX techniques and is a great add-on to this course. This course goes into motion graphics in a huge way, and we even talk about WHY we design our graphics in a certain way with certain techniques and principles. We’ll touch on visual effects quite a bit too, exploring the common concepts behind everything Fusion can do.

This course is also primarily designed with content creators in mind. So we don’t go into massive detail that only VFX artists need.  Overall, get this course if you’re a beginner at Fusion, get Pro Compositing if you want to get more detailed with VFX only.

By the time you work through all the lessons in the course, you’ll understand the major compositing concepts that are common to any kind of software. Any kind of effect that’s meant to look realistic -from animated titles, to templates, to 3D animations - ALL build on these concepts.

You’ll be able to break down and analyze effects and graphics from videos and movies and have a pretty good idea of how you could make the same thing yourself.

You’ll feel comfortable in Fusion. You’ll be able to quickly whip something up in the Fusion page to fix problems in shots, add animations, and enhance any project in no time.

You’ll feel supported in your content creation journey. We’re building a community of students who can help each other out and root for each other. Not to mention, you’ll be able to ask the team questions and we can work through any problems you may have together.

Well, you could probably learn some of the techniques in this course from binging a bunch of Youtube tutorials, but there’s a couple problems with that:

• You usually don’t have the files to download and follow along with the video.

• You’re learning a bunch of random things in no particular order, and who knows if they relate to each other.

• If there are concepts you don’t understand, you have to look those up. And it takes FOREVER. Not to mention, there isn’t much of a way to get support if you just want to ask a simple question.

Right now the classes are available to stream when you have an internet connection only. That’s because we want to be able to update the course, add lessons, and keep everything up to date without asking you to re-download stuff all the time. That’s a pain, and we’d rather keep things simple.

Absolutely! In fact, a lot of the course is designed to be interactive. We always learn best when we try things for ourselves and get that experience. You can download all the major assets from the course and try them out on your own system. We even have regular “Challenge” lessons that are homework for you to cement your learning.
